Zummbbaaaaaa And A Change In The Air....

Posted on Wednesday, 27 June 2012

Ok so I haven’t been able to fulfil my list just yet but I feel that tomorrow, I am going up to Warwick, I am getting one module result (AHHHHHH the one I most care about because I love the course and lecturer!) and I will have a night of no internet and by my lonesome (because everyone seems to have gone home). I think it is the perfect day to have a complete change in my life. The change being that which I have set out in writing above

On another note, I finally to my Zumba wii game to work! Was so much fun! And I seemed to be quite good as I kept turning green! I am so going to start going to Zumba classes at my sports centre. I just love it. It makes me so happy. Only had time to do twenty minutes today but will do some more when I get back from Warwick (won’t have time tomorrow). So much fun J

Hope I don't die...

This is something I found on tumblr and I plan on completing it in the gym tomorrow AFTER my swim with interval training...although Sunday mornings are rather busy so I am hoping I'll be able to...if not I'll just do my usual little work out thing.

On another note my Zumba Wii Game came today! So excited to try that out tomorrow! I feel it'll be a fresh start to my summer fit 2012 Summer! I know I used Summer twice but it makes sense in my mind!

A Summer Resolution List

Posted on Friday, 22 June 2012

Hello there.
Right so as I mentioned earlier I am going to San Diego next year – ahhhh I am so excited I cannot breathe! BUT I think I should make a list of pre-America resolutions. Like things I want to be able to do by the time I get to America. Or things I should just be doing over the summer in preparation for America. So here is my list of Summer ‘To Do’ things with a bit of an explanation next to them.
1.     Give up gum – it’s expensive, no one likes talking to you when you are chomping and…it’s expensive. Oh and apparently it may give you some little discomfort in the form of stomach ulcers – PLEASE NOTE THE SARCASM HERE.
2.     Soft drinks – this will be the killer. I am a SUCKER for soft drinks. Diet soft drinks are literally what I live off and no matter how many horror stories my Mum tells me about kidney cancer or kidney stones, I don’t seem to get the message into my head not to drink as much as I do. But before America I want to try and quit. I will drink them on nights out/special occasions….weekends? Should I make that a resolution. I’ll drink them at weekends? Hopefully I won’t go OTT at the weekends when I do this but ahh well.
3.     Continue swimming a mile a day. I do this anyway, even during my exams I swam a mile a day. I think I am going to start putting some interval training into my miles though so instead of working on different parts of my body or different strokes I will start sprinting in the middle of my workout. I already swim pretty fast but this way, I can probably make my metabolism burn through more calories and get me more fit as it’s probably so used to my mile a day. Also I hate how I swim a mile a day but when it comes to races I’m not automatically faster than someone, who say, haven’t swum in months! It’s embarrassing! Yeah I could beat them in the long run but no one does 8 length races!
4.     Start to try and run again. I used to but I got shin splits but I’d ideally like to take the Disney half-marathon next year so…wish me luck! Hope it doesn’t effect my swimming ability.
5.     When I get my Zumba for Wii ATLEAST do it three times a week
6.     Write for thirty minutes each day on something you are creatively making. Switch off the internet.
7.     Blog regularly (once again, not setting myself a definite deadline because that seems to repel me when it comes to blogging).
8.     Create atleast ten more edited videos on YouTube. Preferably longer than the one you put up today!
9.     Start vlogging! You said you would! Now be brave and take that step!
10. Read! Read as much as you can. It is your time to read what the hell you like.
11. Practice atleast an hour of Spanish each day.

Hopefully I will stick to these eleven things? I’ll let you know in due times. I will print of my own version of ‘Don’t Break the Chain’ and make sure I complete most of these things each day.

Ketchup Resolutions

Cobwebs be gone!
Hey I am back! Already I know!
That’s a turn up for the books.

I’m just writing down a resolution. Just a quick one. I will try and write a proper entry tonight! I am going to stop having sauces. Sauces, yep. No I am not making some inside joke or dirty innuedo. I generally need to give up sauces. As in Ketchup, BBQ sauce etc. This year, I have managed to scale back so I don’t have sauces in front of my friends when we have meals out. I am quite good at that. I know they think it is really weird and that’s why I have managed to scale back but at home I seem to sink my food in ketchup or BBQ sauce. Why? I have no clue. In year 10 I went through a crazy faze of banning any ‘unnecessary calories’ so I didn’t have any sauces on my food for about three years. Perhaps it is a backlash from that? And seeing as I seem to skip breakfast and lunch perhaps I am subconsciously making up for them? It’ll be hard. I know I’ll think my food feels plain or boring at first but I’ll push on and soon remember food tastes great without such things.
That’s all I am writing to say. Hopefully by putting it on the net I’ll actually stick to this change in lifestyle!
Bit un- interesting?
Bare with me…

For starters...

Posted on Thursday, 21 June 2012

Ok,

I am going to be proactive. I am going to be procreative.
I have started a blog about ten billion times and never follow it through. Many of my blogs are cluttering up the internet, slowing gathering dust with my promising last line “I will definitely keep you updated, sorry! See you next (Insert day of your will).” However, during exams my brain was going crazy. I had all these creatuve things I wanted to do but couldn’t because of revision and exams. So now, I am having my first non-revision based day. My exams finished yesterday and finally I can do these things. I will NOT let this summer go to waste, I repeat I WILL NOT LET THIS SUMMER GO TO WASTE.
I will blog regularly, I need to practice my writing in any case and I want to keep a blog whilst I am on my year abroad. Hell yeah, you heard me. Year abroad. I cannot wait. It will be fun, sunny and fantastic! Well…this is what I hope….I don’t want to get my hopes up too much because then I might risk ruining the experience.
Anyway this is just an opening starter to my new blog! Which I will update regularly with a variety of things :D.

Anyway, I will SEE YOU SOON
Or this blog…will gather dust and cobwebs…either one.
